Hey My Wonderful family! 1/25/2016

This week, as have all the others, is cruising by! My companion Elder Hernandez and I have been doing Awesome. We had a really busy week but we both feel content. This week we had 3 divisions with the outlying areas in our zone- which is the biggest zone in the mission! So we spent a lot of time packed in small microbusses like sardines.its cozy. And Its a great opportunity to talk with people and really turns out to be very fruitful. Yesterday we had 3 new investigators from a bus contact. They are · sisters Grisleny, rosmeli, and Aurora. the last cannot speak or hear but is very accepting of us.We are praying that she can understand us sufficiently to progress.
This week we are preparing a baptismal service for 4 of our lords children. lili ludwin, carlos, and Helaman. They have all overcome huge obstacles to progress toward baptism

I would like to tell of lili.
Lili is a young woman that is friends with a young man in our branch extension. She first came to church about a month ago because of an invitation from her friend. We talked with her there and then visited her 1 a week for the past month. She is amazing! she truly has had a desire to know God. But she has been in opposition with her family about the church. It has been difficult for her but she has overcome so much and yesterday told us that she wanted to be baptised!!!!
I know that although we live in the the world, and sometimes it seems hard to keep the commandments in the world, we will always be able to keep standard that Our Father has set for each of us. I have seen it. I love each of you and Bear witness that the gospel is true and that it changes lives. I love my Savior and Invite you to invite others to know him as well.
With Much love-
Elder Baldwin.

In preparing a lesson for Young Women on adversity I came upon these great quotes by President Monson:
Good timber does not grow with ease,
The stronger wind, the stronger trees.
The further sky, the greater length.
The more the storm, the more the strength.
By sun and cold, by rain and snow,
In trees and men good timbers grow.8’
Unwavering commitment to us whether it is the best or worst of times he is with us
spiritual lesson to be learned: we owe to God the same faithfulness that he gives to us. We should strive for steadiness and for a commitment to God that does not ebb and flow with the years or the crises of our lives.

Have a great week!

💟 you!
MOM
